When I was a kid, I saw a movie about a killer car. No, it was not the red one by Stephen King. It was a black car. I don’t remember the name of the movie, but I do remember that it never crashed and it killed a lot of people!
Similarly, we have these buses in Riyadh ( see pic ). They have been around for as long as I can remember. They are a 1970’s model of a Toyota coaster. Privately owned and very feared. They will race with a Ferrari!.. And, they will race with many people in them. The drivers are relentless,adventurous and they don’t give a damn about who is behind them, next to them or under them! The only car they care about is the one in front of them. It better not be slow, because then they get really upset and over take from any side they please throwing anyone off the road!
These private buses are just one of those things we don’t notice much but when we do , we wonder: WHY ARE THEY STILL AROUND?
